Welcome to Part 2 of Essential Baby Gear For New Moms. Part 2 will focus on portable diaper changing pads. Most diaper bags on the market today comes with a detachable diaper changing pad. These diaper changing pads are usually rectangular shaped so it can be quite challenging to keep you baby on the changing pad if you have a little squirmy one. Also, if you're always on the go and need to run that quick errand with your baby, it can be a hassle to lug your diaper bag with you when all you need are a few diapers, wipes, and a changing pad. So what do you do?
Fortunately, there a many portable diaper changing pads out in the market that will solve this dilemma. I want to focus on three of my favorite diaper changing pads which is chic, practical, and functional.
Plush Pad by Ah Goo Baby
The Plush Pad by Ah Goo Baby is a 2 x 2 (feet) square shaped diaper changing pad that features a body contouring memory foam. The memory foam is similar to the memory foam pillows and beds in the market today, therefore, it conforms to the shape of your baby's body. When rolled up, this diaper changing pad measures 3 inches x 10 inches (cylindrical shaped) which can easily be thrown into your purse or diaper bag.
The Plush Pad is water resistant and machine washable and comes in 9 different styles. It's one of my favorite products.
Patemm Pad
The Patemm Pad is an interesting diaper changing pad because of its circular shape. Even with a squirmy baby, you don't have to worry about your baby rolling off of the Patemm Pad. This diaper changing pad comes in two styles and sizes, 24 inch and 30 inch, and one with inside pockets and one without the inside pockets. The Patemm Pad with pockets enables moms to carry up to 20 wipes in a travel pack or small sealable sandwich bags, 1-2 diapers, and clothes. The Patemm Pad also features four handles which is used to fold and unfold the pads. When folded, the 30 inch Patemm Pad becomes a 10 inch square and 1.5 to 2 inches thick. The 24 inch Patemm Pad folds to an eight inch square and 1.5 to 2 inches thick. The Patemm Pad is waterproof and stain and soil resistant

Bonnie Changing Kit By Bumble Collection
The Bonnie Changing Kit is made by the Bumble Collection, the maker of the popular Bumble Bag Collection that so many celebrities are carrying. The Bonnie Changing Kit is for moms who are on the go and do not want to lug their big diaper bag. On the inside, the Changing Kit has two pockets to store a few diapers and wipes. When folded out, the Bonnie Changing Kit features a toddler sized changing pad. The Changing Kit is also water and stain resistant with a soil proof lining.
When folded, the Changing Kit measures 10"L x 12" H x 2" W. It has an adjustable strap and can easily be hung on a stroller handle. All of the designs on the Bonnie Changing Kit, as well as all of Bumble Collections' products are a one of a kind design. One thing you'll notice in the baby gear market is that you'll see the same design or pattern on a product from many different companies. WIth the Bumble Collections' product line, you won't see any other companies with that same design.
